Q. How do I know the wallet is genuine?

All our wallets are genuine products from Ledger that come packed and sealed. Please check the Verify page on how you can make sure the product is genuine and not been tampered with.

Q. Where are my crypto assets stored?

All your crypto assets are stored and secured on the blockchain network and not on the wallet. Even if you lose your wallet, your assets will be safe. The wallet provides you with private keys (recovery seed) that you backup offline, on paper or even on a stainless steel recovery backup device.

Q. What if I lose my wallet? Do I lose my crypto currency?

If your hardware wallet is lost, stolen or damaged, you can easily and securely recover all your crypto assets, as long as you have access to the 24 word recovery seed (can be 12 or 18 as well).

Q. I don't have access to my hardware wallet, what do I do?

If you no longer have access to your hardware wallet, you can import the recovery seed into another wallet and you will regain access to all of your accounts, balances and transaction data.

Q. My device is damaged, what do I do?

All Ledger products come with warranties and you will be able to get a free replacement. You can recover your crypto assets by importing the recovery seed into the replacement hardware wallet.

Q. Is my order covered by warranty?

All Ledger devices (Ledger Nano S and Nano X devices) are covered by a 2-year warranty. If you're experiencing issues with your product, please reach out to our support team for help. In case your product might need to be replaced, please prepare a copy of the product invoice in advance.

Q. How do I backup my crypto assets?

Keep a spare hardware wallet, so incase you lose your other wallet you can always recover or clone into your spare wallet.

 Q. What currencies are supported?

Both Ledger hardware wallets are compatible with more than 1,100 altcoins, including popular cryptocurrencies, such as Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Dogecoin (DOGE), LINK Chainlink (LINK), Litecoin (LTC), Cardano (ADA), Stellar (XLM), and Polkadot (DOT). 

Nano S and X also support the following tokens: 

  • ERC20
  • ERC721
  • TRC10
  • TRC20
  • BEP2
  • NEP5
  • SOL

When using the Ledger Live mobile app, investors can manage more than 1,800 tokens and coins, and it’s compatible with over 50 wallets. However, dozens of assets can be stored using your USB wallet but won’t appear on your Ledger Live app, such as: 

  • Binance Coin (BNB)
  • EOS (EOS)
  • Cardano (ADA)
  • Monero (XMR)
  • Neo (NEO)
  • Crypto.org chain (CRO)
